Two Hour Special and Interview with Roger Earl of Foghat on WMBR's Lost & Found Program

Was aired on the program: Tuesday, July 9, 2019
12:00pm - 2:00pm

In 1971, after five albums with the acclaimed British blues rock band Savoy Brown, drummer Roger Earl, accompanied by fellow SB members "Lonesome Dave" Peverett and Tony Stevens, migrated from that band to form their own: Foghat. The hits for Savoy Brown began after the three's departure, but the bigger hits came from Foghat, whose debut struck gold with a cover of Willie Dixon's "I Just Want to Make Love to You." More future rock classics arrived in 1975 with their album "Fool For the City," featuring the title track and "Slow Drive." Their career apex was the bestseller 'Foghat Live," recapturing the aforementioned hits and establishing Foghat them as a primo live event. Roger Earl tells the story. Foghat is appearing at the Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, NH on Wednesday, July 3.
